This costume represents the Napoleonic period made for a women for a more alluring interest.
Description:
The 19th century inspired frock coat is made from a vintage brocade of sea-foam green with copper abstract sunflower motif. It is boned to create a corseted affect with an over exaggerated notched collar and tails. The vest and hot pants are copper colored brocade with a bee motif which symbolizes the Empire era.
The vest is made shorter and sexier being fully lined, boned and with buttons in the shape of a bee down the front.
The hat is a bi-corn from that era and is made with the same materials with a dyed-to-match silk chiffon scarf that can be wrapped around the neck to feminize the outfit. (A long wrap skirt has also been made with the chiffon for a variant look.)
This is a fun costume indeed for a unique adaptation of the Napoleonic era.
** Other eras can be combined and created in this similar fashion to stylize your favorite era for your next special event.
